Reggie Miller completed his second year as a graduate assistant with the UTEP men’s basketball program following the 2023-24 season before being promoted to a full-time assistant coach for the Miners in August of 2024.
He joined the Miners following the conclusion of his playing career, most recently competing at Abilene Christian University under current UTEP head coach Joe Golding. He is the first former player of Golding to be hired to his staff in a full-time capacity.
Miller played with the Wildcats from 2019-22 under both Brette Tanner and Joe Golding, finishing his career third all time in assists (270) and steals (158) and fourth in games started. Overall, he averaged nine points, four rebounds, three steals and two assists.
He was on the 2021 Southland Conference All-Defensive Team and also landed on the league’s All-Tournament Team. Furthermore, he was voted the Co-Defensive Player of the Year by Dave Campbell’s Texas Basketball Magazine for the 2020-21 campaign.
He also previously played with Seward County Community College from 2018-19 and Texas State from 2017-18. At Seward County, he helped lead the team to a Region VI Championship in the NJCAA tournament.
He graduated from ACU with a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and earned his master's degree in leadership studies in May of 2024.
