Tatyana Colón joined the UTEP volleyball staff as an assistant coach in January 2026.
An El Paso native, Colón brings coaching experience at the collegiate, club and youth levels. She previously served as an NCAA DII assistant coach and graduate assistant at Sul Ross State University, where she contributed to athlete development and day-to-day program operations.
Colón has also assisted nationally qualified club teams in El Paso, coached youth beach volleyball each summer and led youth leagues in Alpine, Texas.
A former NCAA DII student-athlete at Sul Ross State, Colón competed in the Lone Star Conference and finished her career as the program's all-time leader in digs. She was named All-Tournament Libero at UT Permian Basin in 2024 and qualified for nationals during her club and beach volleyball career.
Colón earned a Bacherlor of Science in kinesiology (exercise science) in December 2024 and a Master of Health Sciences in sport administration in December 2025, both from sul Ross State.
