C-USA Championship Bracket
IRVING, Texas - The seventh-seeded UTEP women's tennis team will take on 10-seed UTSA during the first round of the Conference USA Women's Tennis Championship on April 16 in Houston hosted by Rice.
The Miners (12-4, 2-0 C-USA) and Roadrunners (10-12, 2-4) are set to compete at 8 a.m. MT/9 a.m. CT.
"We beat UTSA earlier in the season," first-year UTEP head coach Cristina Moros said. "But their number three was injured; she had actually twisted her ankle the day before. So they're going to be a little bit tougher when we play them on Thursday. We're going to have to play well to put them away."
The Miners defeated UTSA, 4-3, on March 1.
The winner between UTEP-UTSA will take on second-seed Marshall on Friday at 10 a.m. CT.
Rice, the host school, is the No. 1 overall seed.
