Graciela Borjas (Canutillo, Texas), Cierra Cooper (El Paso, Texas), Jawauna Davis (Norman, Okla.), Jennifer Garcia (Tucson, Ariz.) and Veronica Villareal (San Antonio, Texas) have signed national letters of intent to play softball at UTEP, head coach Kathleen Rodriguez announced on Wednesday. UTEP will launch its first season in 2004.
"This last group of signees really rounds out our roster," Rodriguez said. "They give us a nice combination of speed, hitting and power. Davis, Garcia and Villareal all bring big sticks to our program, while Borjas and Cooper add speed."
