LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced that six UTEP softball players earned NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2013-14 academic year on Thursday.

The recipients of this prestigious honor include: Kayla Black, Morgan Rasmason, Erika Harrawood, Erika Arcuri, Colleen Hohman and McKenzey Finley.

The NCAA Division I, with 1,096 honorees, had the most student-athletes with a 3.5 grade point average of higher, while 1,005 players in NCAA Division III scored recognition.

In all, 408 different schools scored academic honors.
