SAN ANTONIO, Texas - UTSA hit three home runs, including two by Randee Crawford, to down UTEP, 8-0 in five innings, completing the weekend sweep on Sunday at Roadrunner Field.

The Miners fall to 8-10 in Conference USA action, while the Roadrunners improve to 12-5. UTSA leads the West Division by half a game over UAB, as the UAB-Charlotte series finale was cancelled due to rain today.

UTSA piled on four runs during the third and four more in the fourth inning to put away UTEP.

Kendall Burton led off the third with a double. She advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored the game's first run on another wild pitch. Megan Low followed with a stand-up double, while Vivian Tijerina plated Low on a double of her own. Crawford broke the inning open with her 14th home run of the season, a two-run shot to left, giving her squad a 4-0 lead.

In the fourth, Low put the Roadrunners ahead, 6-0, with her 15th jack this season, a two-run moon shot over center. Crawford clinched the run-rule with another two-run shot, a line drive to left.

The Miners managed only four hits in the contest, as Tahla Wade went 2-for-3. Courtney Clayton and Hope Moreno each added a single.
