RENO, Nevada- The UTEP rifle team shot an aggregate of 4566 but it wasn't enough as homestanding Nevada fired an aggregate of 4656 to hold off the Miners in their second match of the year over two days of action (Oct. 14-15).
 
Freshman Jessica Boyce led the way for the Orange and Blue by firing a career-high aggregate of 1152. She set personal bests in both smallbore (568) and air rifle (584).
 
Sophomore Bailey Powell followed with an aggregate of 1146 while fellow classmate Mara Rouse fired an aggregate of 1136. Powell registered 569 in smallbore and 577 in air rifle. Rouse set a season high in smallbore (564) while adding a 572 in air rifle.
 
Sophomore Abby Monique recorded an aggregate of 1129, finishing at 556 in smallbore and 573 in air rifle.
 
Freshman Samantha Miller checked in with an aggregate of 1114. She established a career-best 559 in smallbore while tallying 555 in air rifle.
 
Maranda Nelson competed exclusively in air rifle, shooting 570 on the round.
 
UTEP will be back in action when it travels to compete at UT Martin on Saturday.
