LOUISVILLE, Ky.– UTEP softball's
Kacey Duffield earned National Fast Pitch Association All-Region third team honors, the NFCA announced on Thursday.
Duffield adds the NFCA All-Region selection to her senior season filled with accolades. The Fairbanks, Alaska, native was named to the All-Conference USA First team, and was the C-USA Player of the Week (3/11).
The first baseman led the team in batting average (.388), hits (53) and on-base percentage (.482). She reached base safely in 44 of the Miners' 50 games this season and produced a program-record 20-fielded double plays.
Duffield is only the seventh player in UTEP history to earn All-Region honors, and is the first since
Courtney Clayton did it last season.
