UTEP Football Season Ticket Memberships Go on Sale Wednesday, Feb. 2

EL PASO, TEXAS – Season ticket memberships for the 2022 UTEP football season will go on sale Wednesday, Feb. 2.

The Miners are coming off a 7-6 campaign and a berth in the New Mexico Bowl, where they went toe-to-toe with 10-win Fresno State.  UTEP is projected to return seven starters on offense – RB Ronald Awatt, RT Jeremiah Byers, QB Gavin Hardison, RG Elijah Klein, C Andrew Meyer, WR Tyrin Smith and TE Trent Thompson.  The Miners are also projected to return seven defensive starters – DE Praise Amaewhule, S Dennis Barnes, LB Tyrice Knight, DT Kelton Moss, S Justin Prince, DT Keenan Stewart and DE Jadrian Taylor.

Other key returnees on offense include WR Reynaldo Flores, RB Deion Hankins, LT Zuri Henry and FB James Tupou. Other key returnees on defense include S Ty'reke James, CB Torey Richardson, DT Tevita Tafuna, DE Deylon Williams and S Tyson Wilson.  The Miners also welcome back K Gavin Baechle and P Joshua Sloan.

UTEP Football season ticket membership prices are unchanged from last year and start at just $65.  The Miners' 2022 home schedule features non-conference matchups with NM State (Sept. 10) and 2021 Arizona Bowl participant Boise State (Sept. 24).  The former Western Athletic Conference rival Broncos will be making their first visit to the Sun Bowl since 2004.

The Miners are slated to host Florida Atlantic, North Texas, Southern Miss and UAB in Conference USA play.  The Mean Green and Blazers earned bids to the Frisco Football Classic and the Independence Bowl respectively last season.

"It's a tremendous home schedule with three teams that went to bowl games a year ago," UTEP coach Dana Dimel said. "We're excited to bring the Battle of I-10 back to El Paso and renew an old rivalry with Boise State, which has had seventeen 10-win seasons in the last 23 years.  We think we're going to have a heck of a football team this fall and we can't wait to build on our success from the 2021 season!"

UTEP season ticket membership prices are $65 for End Zone, $75 for Sideline, $100 for Party Patio (standing room only), $135 for Bronze, $250 for Silver and $375 for Gold. Fans who renew their season ticket memberships on Wednesday, Feb. 2 will be entered into a raffle for a limited number of official UTEP Football team gear, including bowl game apparel.

Fans can renew their season ticket memberships by Friday, April 1.  After this date, their seats will be made available to the general public.  Fans renewing their season ticket memberships or purchasing new season ticket memberships can pay in full, or enroll in a payment plan (up to seven months).
