UTEP T&F Sending Six Student-Athletes to NM Collegiate Classic Feb. 4-5

EL PASO – UTEP track and field's Oghenekaro Brume, Jalen Cadet, Kevin Hewitt, Rodgers Korir, Jevaughn Powell and Karen Villa will compete at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic at the Albuquerque Convention Center on Feb. 4-5. 
 
On the women's side, Brume will compete in the 200-meter dash on Friday at 6:35 p.m., while Villa will compete in the pentathlon starting on Friday at 11 a.m. with the 60-meter hurdles. 
 
On the men's side, Cadet will compete in the heptathlon starting Friday at 10:30 a.m. with the 60-meter dash, Powell will run the 200-meter dash on Friday at 6:15 p.m., Korir will compete in the 3,000-meter run on Saturday at 2:20 p.m., and Hewitt will take the track in the 600-meter run on Friday at 5:50 p.m. 
 
For Cadet, and Villa – a pair of freshmen – it's their first multi-event of their UTEP careers. Hewitt, Korir and Powell are competing in their first events of the 2022 season.
