UTEP Women’s Basketball Lands Serbian Forward Dunja Zecevic

EL PASO, Texas – UTEP women's basketball has signed Serbian standout Dunja Zečević, head coach Keitha Adams announced Monday. Zečević will be competing with the Under-20 Serbian National team this summer at the FIBA European Youth Championships.

Plays for the club Crvena Zvezda in the Euroleague ... appeared in 27 games while averaging 7.6 points and 4.1 rebounds per game ... shot 74.5 percent from the free-throw line ... scored in double figures on nine occasions, including a four-game streak late in the season ... posted a career-high 32 points and grabbed nine boards versus Vrbas (02/18/23) … dropped 21 points and matched a career-best with 13 rebounds against Vrsac (03/01/23) ... put up 16 points in back-to-back games, against Radnicki KG (03/11/23) and versus Vojvodina 021 (03/29/23) ... scored 12 points and had six caroms at Vrsac (12/10/22) ... posted 11 points to go along with seven rebounds, three steals, and two assists against Spartak S. (01/21/23) ... had 12 points and added seven rebounds at Novosadska ZKA (01/28/23) ... in the 2022 Division B FIBA U18 European Championship, she averaged 8.7 points and 4.9 rebounds with the Serbian Youth National Team … has won three gold medals in the First Women's League and two in the Juniors League … helped Serbia win the 2021 FIBA U18 Challengers tournament.
