UTEP Tennis Secures Grad Transfer From BYU

EL PASO, Texas – BYU grad transfer Emma Stuart has signed with the UTEP tennis team, head coach Ivan Fernandez announced Monday. The former four-star recruit at the prep level will have two years of eligibility with the Miners.

Forged a mark of 6-5 in singles play in a shortened season in her lone year of competition with BYU … efforts helped the Cougars finish 8-3 on the campaign … was a quarterfinalist in the ITA White Singles flight at the Cal Fall Invitational … graduated Olympus High School as the number two recruit in the state of Utah and 90th nationally … helped the 5A squad peel off four consecutive state championships … key cog of the National Fed Cup tennis team that claimed numerous Intermountain circuit tournaments … graduated High Honor Roll at BYU and was also a member of the Dean's List.
