EL PASO, Texas – UTEP tennis sophomore standout Hanna Telzynska has earned placement on the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Women's Tennis Team, the organization announced Tuesday. She boasts a perfect 4.0 GPA while pursuing a degree in biomedical sciences.

"We are extremely proud of Hanna. For a student-athlete to be majoring in biomedical sciences and maintaining a perfect 4.0gpa while competing shows how amazing she is," UTEP head coach Ivan Fernandez said. "She is an incredible example of what a student-athlete should be. She certainly deserves this recognition, and we couldn't be prouder."

It is the second academic accolade for the native of Poland this spring, who was previously tabbed to the CUSA Women's Tennis All-Academic team. Telzynska took care of business on the court as well during the 2024-25 campaign, producing a stellar record of 13-8 in singles action. That was aided by standing 10-4 in fall competition.
 
Her efforts helped the Miners forge a record of 9-9, marking the first time UTEP finished with a winning percentage of at least .500 since the 2016 dual-match season (11-11).
