COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - No. 19 UTEP Rifle registered an aggregate score of 4617 Saturday afternoon at the Cadet Rifle Range. The Miners fired 2280 in smallbore and 2337 in air rifle.
No. 7 Air Force fired a match-high 4719 while No. 13 Nebraska shot a 4702.
In a strong showing for the young UTEP rifle team, freshman Carlee Valenta led the squad with a score of 1158 in her college debut. Close behind, Amy Visconti contributed with a solid 1156, while Isabella Rios followed with a score of 1154.
Freshman Kameron Wells also made her mark, firing a noteworthy 1143 in her first collegiate match. Paige Hildebrandt added to the team's success with a score of 1137, and fellow freshman Holly Visconti matched her with an identical 1137 in her debut.
