COLUMBUS, Ohio – UTEP rifle sophomore Kameron Wells wrapped up her sophomore campaign while representing the Miners at the 2026 NCAA Rifle Championships inside the Covelli Center on the campus of The Ohio State University.
Wells competed in the air rifle discipline on Saturday, firing a 597-51x to finish 15th overall out of 43 shooters in the national field.
As a team, West Virginia Mountaineers claimed the overall national championship with a 4748 aggregate score. Ole Miss Rebels rifle captured the smallbore national title with a 2356, while West Virginia secured the air rifle national championship with a 2395.
Individually, Branden Praiser of University of Kentucky earned the smallbore national title after posting a 596-37x in the qualifier before recording a 466.0 in the finals.
Audrey Gogniat of Ole Miss claimed the air rifle individual national championship, firing a perfect 600-54x in the qualifier and finishing with a 251.0 in the finals.
