The education and community studies major maintained a perfect 4.00 GPA while earning Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal and Academic Honor Roll honors for the second consecutive year. Valenta also garnered CRCA Second Team All-America recognition in air rifle, becoming part of UTEP's first All-American selections in 14 years. She posted a team-best 596.3 average in air rifle, led the Miners in the discipline six times and recorded a score of 593 or higher in every match during the season. Her efforts also helped guide UTEP to a third-place finish in air rifle at the Patriot Rifle Conference Championships.

Wells rounded out UTEP's Academic All-District® selections after another outstanding year in the classroom and on the range. The biomedical science major compiled a 3.83 GPA while earning Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal and Academic Honor Roll recognition for the second straight season. Wells earned CRCA Honorable Mention All-America honors in air rifle, joining Valenta as part of the program's first All-American selections in 14 years.
