EL PASO, Texas – UTEP Rifle's season-opening match against Schreiner University, originally scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 3 in El Paso, has been postponed due to weather warnings and concerns for the safety of student-athletes and staff.
The match has been rescheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17 in El Paso and will remain the season opener for the Miners.
The decision was made out of an abundance of caution due to forecasted weather conditions that could create unsafe travel circumstances.
