Mahri Petree scored in double digits for the eighth time this season (18 points). She has led the team in scoring on six of those eight occasions.

FEELING FINE AT THE FOUL LINE
Erin Wilson went a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line at NM State. That marks the sixth time this season she has hit 100.0 percent of her free throw attempts, and the 12th game where she has shot 70.0 percent or better from the line.

Aaliyah Stanton posted a game-high four assists against the Aggies, which marks her third game this season with four dimes and the second occasion leading the team in the category.

Two Miners are posting stats that rank them inside the top 100 nationally.
Jane Asinde leads CUSA and sits 15th in the country in free throw attempts (146), leads the league and ranks 27th in the nation in defensive rebounds per game (6.9), and is first in conference, 41st in the NCAA in free throws made (97). She also places second in CUSA, 40th nationally in double-doubles (nine), third in conference, 59th in the country in rebounds per game (8.9), and third in the league, 91st in the nation in rebounds (186).
Erin Wilson is ranked fourth in conference, 88th in the NCAA in rebounds per game (8.3) and fourth in CUSA, 100th nationally in rebounds (182).

Jane Asinde is closing in on 1,000 career points at the Division 1 level. She is only three points away from the milestone. She compiled 657 points in her time with Wichita State to go along with 340 (and counting) while donning the Orange and Blue.

SCOUTING WKU
WKU is 15-10 on the year and 6-4 in Conference USA. The Lady Toppers are averaging 65.8 points and 33.6 rebounds per game. The team leads conference and ranks 24th in the nation in steals per game (10.8) while sitting first in the league, 25th in the NCAA in turnover margin (4.88). WKU also ranks second in CUSA, 36th in the country in turnovers forced per game (19.76) and third in conference, 63rd nationally in three-point attempts per game (22.9). Sophomore Acacia Hayes paces the team with 15.1 points per game. Destiny Salary (14.2), Alexis Mead (10.9), Teresa Faustino (8.6) and Odeth Betancourt (6.0) are the next leading scorers for the Lady Toppers. Betancourt is also grabbing a team-high 4.4 rebounds per game. Mead and Karris Allen are tied for second on the team in rebounds with 4.3. Mead also tops the team in assists (3.8) and steals (2.1). Caitlin Staley swats a team-best 1.3 blocks per game. Individually, Hayes sits fourth in CUSA and 57th in the nation in free throw percentage (84.6), while Mead leads the league and ranks 61st in the country in steals (52). Staley places fourth in CUSA, 94th in the nation in blocks (31) while also sitting fourth in conference, 99th in the NCAA in blocks per game (1.3).

SERIES HISTORY WITH THE LADY TOPPERS
The Miners are 3-7 against the Lady Toppers all-time. WKU has won the last five matchups. The last meeting between the two was earlier this season, when UTEP fell 66-65 at WKU on 1/20/24. UTEP last beat WKU on March 3, 2018, 80-75 in the Haskins Center.
