#ICYMI
UTEP played Houston Christian to a 1-1 draw last Saturday evening. Ashlyn Neireiter thought she put the Miners up early in the first half when she headed in a Mina Rodriguez free kick, but the goal was called offside and the half ended 0-0. Neireiter would not be denied though, heading in another set piece pass from Rodriguez, this time a corner, in the 59th minute to give UTEP the lead. Just 10 minutes later HCU found the equalizer on a solo effort from Emily Jaimes. The Miners outshot the Huskies 14-4, including 7-2 shots on goal, in the contest.

HEADS UP!
Ashlyn Neireiter showed her aerial prowess against the Huskies, scoring a header off of a Mina Rodriguez corner kick. She almost had a brace in the game, but her first header goal was later discounted for offside. The goal marked her first of the season and second of her Miner career.

IN THE RANKS
UTEP leads CUSA and is among the top 75 nationally in three categories. They rank 32nd in Goals-Against Average (0.500), 36th in Save Percentage (.882), and 64th in Shutout Percentage (.500). Additionally, two UTEP players are putting up numbers that rank them in the top 75 individually. Angelina Amparano sits 40th in both GAA (.500) and Shutouts (two) while ranking 42nd in save percentage (.875). Ana Quintero is ranked 72nd in the nation with one match-winner.

ONE IS THE LONELIEST NUMBER
The Miners have not given up more than one goal in any one game this year. The last time that happened over the first four contests was in 2014, when UTEP shut out its first four opponents.

LOCKING IT DOWN ON D
UTEP's two goals against is the fewest through the first four games of a season since 2016 when the Miners also gave up two.

AMPING UP THE PRESSURE
The Miners recorded a season-high seven shots on goal against HCU after tallying seven total in their first three games. Additionally, UTEP has won 11 of its 14 total corners over the past two contests.

SHOTS FIRED
Mina Rodriguez leads the UTEP offense with seven shots while Ana Quintero and Anai Lopez follow close behind with five each.

ALL ABOUT EFFICIENCY
While early, seven Miners are posting at least .500 SOG% this season. Ana Quintero has a team-leading three shots on goal in five total shots (.600 SOG%), Taya Lopez and Sheyliene Patolo have both tallied two shots on goal in four total shots (.500 SOG%), Marina Hill and Kaila Hudson have each recorded one shot on goal in two total shots (.500 SOG%), and Ashlyn Neireiter and Sarina Villa Cuellar both have had one total shot on frame (1.000 SOG%)

SHARING THE WEALTH
Fifteen different UTEP players have registered a shot through the first four games of the season, with 11 tallying at least two shots.

FANTASTIC FOUR
Only four Miners have started every match thus far, with only two playing all 360 possible minutes. Ashlyn Neireiter (360), Angelina Amparano (360), and Ashlee Mora (272) have held strong on defense while Mina Rodriguez (337) has been leading the Miners from the front.

SECRETARIES OF DEFENSE
The UTEP defense allowed just four shots (two on goal) from the Huskies, marking the teams lowest shots against total this season by a wide margin.

GET THAT CORN(ER) OUTTA MY FACE!
The Miners have not allowed a goal in 15 corner kick tries from opposing teams through the first four games of the season. Not only has UTEP yet to yield a goal from corners, it has allowed just three the past two games combined.

SCOUTING REPORT: A&M–CORPUS CHRISTI

Emmie Barton leads the team in assists with two and Morgan Westbury has put up one. Atis has posted seven shots (five on goal) to lead the Islanders.
