UTEP Soccer’s Ashlyn Neireiter Earns CUSA Fall Spirit of Service Award

DALLAS – UTEP soccer's Ashlyn Neireiter was honored as one of 12 recipients to receive the 2025-26 Conference USA Fall Spirit of Service Award, as announced by league officials on Friday.

The award honors student-athletes with significant community service endeavors, good academic standing and participation in their sport. The Spirit of Service award is presented three times throughout the season, with Friday's honorees representing men's cross country, football, women's soccer and volleyball.

Neireiter, a junior from Beaumont, Texas, is a member of the UTEP soccer team and majors in Construction Engineering. She fashioned a 3.64 GPA and was named to the 2025 CUSA Women's Soccer All-Academic team. She was also recognized on the 2025-26 Academic All-District Women's Soccer team, selected by College Sports Communicators. Neireiter was on the 2025 CUSA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll and a 2025 CUSA Commissioner's Academic Medalist.

Neireiter put in multiple hours of community service. She gave her time at the Salvation Army, Jardin De Milagros, Rescue Mission, Locomotive Club All-Girls Session, and Miner Morning Mania.

On the field, the defender was a co-captain and was one of three Miners to start all 17 games. Neireiter played in all but eight minutes (1,522 out of 1,530) on the season and helped key the defense. Neireiter added a game-winning goal on a header in the 1-0 vanquishing of Tarleton State early in the campaign.
