EL PASO – The No. 16 UTEP Rifle team delivered another historic performance on Saturday morning, defeating No. 10 Nebraska at the UTEP Rifle Range while setting a school record with a team aggregate score of 4694.

The Miners posted a 2335 in smallbore and a 2359 in air rifle. Nebraska, in a tightly contested match, finished with an aggregate score of 4689 (2314 smallbore/2375 air rifle).

Leading the charge for UTEP was Isabella Rios, who posted an impressive aggregate score of 1179. She was followed closely by Carlee Valenta (1174), Amy Visconti (1168), Paige Hildebrandt (1167), Kameron Wells (1166), Xan Keel (1163), and Julia Czernik (1140). 

Several Miners achieved career milestones during the match: 

• Julia Czernik set a personal best in air rifle with a 589. 
• Paige Hildebrandt recorded all-around personal records, including 580 in smallbore, 587 in air rifle, and an aggregate of 1167.
• Isabella Rios delivered a career-high 589 in smallbore en route to her 1179 aggregate.
• Kameron Wells matched her personal best with a 585 in smallbore. 

Rios was the top shooter in the match for smallbore, with Wells and Visconti also placing in the top five at third and fifth, respectively. In air rifle, Valenta secured a fourth-place finish. Rios and Valenta each finished in the top five overall, placing second and fourth, respectively.
