FORT WAYNE, Indiana – The UTEP rifle team wrapped up competition at the Patriot Rifle Conference (PRC) Championship at the X Count with a solid showing in the air rifle event on Day 2. The Miners posted a team air rifle score of 2,363, bringing their overall team aggregate to 4,670 after combining with their 2,307 smallbore mark from Day 1.
UTEP finished in seventh place in the overall standings, while Alaska Fairbanks dominated the competition, sweeping all three categories—smallbore, air rifle, and aggregate—to claim the PRC Championship title.
On the individual side, Ole Miss' Audrey Gogniat was crowned the all-around champion, securing first place in smallbore with a score of 597, achieving a perfect 600 in air rifle, and finishing with a winning aggregate of 1,197.
For the Miners, Carlee Valenta led the way, posting a 580 in smallbore (finishing 28th overall), a 594 in air rifle (finishing 20th overall), and an aggregate score of 1,174. Other UTEP aggregate scores included:
