UTEP Athletics Launches “Sun City” Apparel Line, Items Now Available at UTEP Bookstore

EL PASO, Texas – For over a century, the UTEP Miners have been "El Paso's Team." UTEP Athletics celebrates its longstanding affiliation with the "Sun City" by introducing a brand-new apparel line. The "Sun City Collection" is powered by the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) and is now available at the UTEP Bookstore, located at 2201 Sun Bowl Drive, or online here.

"CLC has been a great partner of ours, and has once again crafted an outstanding collection," UTEP Vice President and Director of Athletics Jim Senter said. "We're excited to unveil the 'Sun City' line, showcasing our amazing community, and we're excited that our coaches, student-athletes and fans will be sporting the new look during the 2025-26 athletics year."
 
"Building on our work from the 915 campaign, our team re-immersed itself in El Paso's rich culture to create the Sun City brand—marks designed to resonate with the community beyond the school itself, becoming a symbol the city is proud to wear," CLC Senior Graphic Designer Phil Kruzan said. "The designs feature two iconic elements: a modernized Chicano-inspired script and a sunset cresting over mountains formed from UTEP's pickaxe, with sun rays drawn from the El Paso city flag."
 
"We're thrilled to continue bringing new, eye-catching items to the incredible UTEP fanbase," UTEP Bookstore Manager Xochitl Meyer said. "The Sun City line, developed in partnership with CLC and UTEP Athletics, celebrates not only UTEP, but the heritage and history of El Paso as well."
 
UTEP Athletics teams will compete in "Sun City Games" in the coming months, including football versus UT Martin on Sept. 6, volleyball against UCLA on Sept. 11, and soccer versus NM State on Oct. 25.
 
The "Sun City Collection" features merchandise from top vendors including adidas, Advanced Online, Blue84, CAPX, Horn Legend, Neil Enterprises and WinCraft. Polos, hoodies, t-shirts, caps, magnets, pennants, decals, flags, mugs and tumblers are all available.
