UTEP XC Men Wins Team Title, Women in Second at the Lobo Invitational Saturday Morning

RESULTS: MEN | WOMEN

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The UTEP Cross Country men's squad won the team title, while the women's team came in second at New Mexico's Lobo Invitational on Saturday morning at UNM North Course. 
 
UTEP (25 points) beat out rival NM State (33) for the men's championship. The women's team came in second with 36 points. EPCC won the women's title with 21 points. 

Andrés Gurrola clocked in a UTEP career-best time of 15:13.67 to finish as the top Miner and second overall.
 
On the women's side, Vallary Kiplagat was the top Miner with a 10th-place overall. She clocked in at 18:53.46.
 
Juan Leal was fourth overall with a 15:24.65, Luis Pastor finished sixth with a 15:30.89, Paul Rotich was seventh with a time of 15:33.70, and Carmelo Corral was 10th with a time of 15:52.14.
