DALLAS – UTEP men's golf's Dylan Teeter was named the Conference USA Men's Golfer of the Week as announced by league officials on Wednesday.
Teeter opened the new campaign as the top Miner, tying for sixth overall after penciling in a 12-under par 204 (67-71-66) at the Island Resort Intercollegiate hosted by South Dakota State at Sage Run Golf Course (7,375 yards | par 72) on Aug. 31-Sept. 1.
Teeter was the top Miner for the 13th time in his career, while placing in the top 10 for the seventh time during his career at UTEP.
The fifth-year golfer tallied 15 birdies and three bogeys on the weekend. Teeter moved up six spots after firing a 6-under par 66 and recording six birdies with zero bogeys during the third round.
For Teeter, it's his third CUSA Golfer of the Week honor. The product of Bixby, Okla., was named golfer of the week twice last season (Sept. 11 & Oct. 2).
