"We're excited to have both our men and women back competing together this weekend at the Arturo Barrios Invitational," second-year UTEP head coach Francesca Green said. "This is another great opportunity for our program to challenge itself against a strong field as we continue preparing for the championship portion of our season."

Competing for the women's squad are Aubrey Arsenault, Isabella Campa, Kissleine Casarez, Bobbi Guillen, Mia Hairston, Brenda Jerop, Vallary Kiplagat, Salma Licon, Ashlyn McMillan, and Sofia Ramirez.

"Our men are coming off a strong performance at Chile Pepper, and I'm looking forward to seeing them build on that momentum," Green said. "Our women have had a few weeks to focus on training since our home meet, and I'm excited to see how that work translates into competition."

The field features 14 women's teams and 11 men's teams ranked in the USTFCCCA South Central Region.

The women will compete against nationally ranked No. 27 Arkansas, as well as South Central Region's top 15 teams, including No. 3 Tulane, No. 5 LSU, and No. 6 SFA.

The men will compete against 11 of the South Central Region's top 15 teams, including eight of the top 10. The top-ranked programs in the field include No. 2 SFA, No. 4 TCU, No. 5 Texas, No. 6 Houston, and host No. 7 Texas A&M. Other regionally ranked programs in the field include Cal Baptist, Tulsa, Ohio State, App State, Arizona State, and Cal Poly.

"At this point in the season, it's about continuing to build confidence, competing together, and being intentional with every opportunity we have," Green said. "We want to see our athletes race aggressively, trust their preparation, and continue raising the standard for UTEP Cross Country. Our goal is to be at our best when it matters most."

Following competition in College Station, UTEP will compete at the 2026 Mountain West Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Oct. 31, in Reno, Nev.
