UTEP Men’s Golf in Fifth, Play Suspended at Cowboy Classic Tuesday

MARICOPA, Ariz. – UTEP men's golf has fired 14-under par, standing in fifth of 25 teams after play was suspended in the second round at Wyoming's Cowboy Classic at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club (par 72 | 7,330 yards) on Tuesday evening.

The Miners (281-172—453) are through 11 holes in the second round. The completion of round two tees off at 7:15 a.m. PST/8:15 MST with play moving right into the third round.

#28 USC (272-175—447) is in first place through 11-12 holes, firing 22-under par. #46 Arkansas State (273-175—448) and Grand Canyon (274-175—449) are tied for second, both shooting 19-under. UTEP (-14) is two strokes behind Iowa State (272-168—440), which is through 6-12.

Marc Keller (70-40—110) is tied for seventh at 7-under par, Valentin Luna (67-45—112) is tied for 11^that 5-under, Dylan Teeter (71-41—112) is tied for 14^th at 4-under, Braden Smith (73-48—121) is tied for 89^th at 4-over and Colin Price (80-46—126) is 117^th at 9-over.

CSU Northridge's Bryson Barnes (69-50—119 through 14), Iowa State's #144 Paul Beauvy (64-47—111 through 12), USC's Luke Stock (66-44—110 through 12) and Grand Canyon's Matthew Diehl (64-43—107 through 11) are tied for first at 9-under par. UNLV's Trevor Lewis (68-48—116) and Grand Canyon's Nixon Lauritzen (65-47—112) are tied for fifth and a stroke behind the leaders.
