DALLAS – UTEP's Kennedy Llewellyn was named as one of 11 student-athletes to receive the 2026 Conference USA Spring Spirit of Service Award on Tuesday.

The award honors student-athletes with significant participation in community service, good academic standing, and stellar contributions to their sport.

Llewellyn racked up 27.5 hours of community service, logging time at the Lundy Elementary Turkey Trot, the Hope & Health Fair, the alcohol awareness resource fair, and the SAAC mental health awareness event. She also assisted with multiple UTEP sporting events – track meets, and did ball shagging at indoor volleyball and soccer.

The native of Ancaster, Ontario, Canada, is a two-time CUSA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll recipient (2025, 2026) and two-time CUSA Commissioner's Academic Medalist (2025, 2026).

On the sand volleyball court, Llewellyn won nine matches, including two in CUSA action. She was undefeated on courts four and five, and had six wins on court two. The sophomore helped the Miners defeat Sam Houston at the 2026 CUSA Beach Volleyball Championship.
