Taylor Grohmann will enter her second year as a graduate assistant coach in 2019. Grohmann pitched for the Miners for four seasons (2014-17) and recieved her bachelor's degree in kinesiology.

The native of El Paso has been with the UTEP softball program since the 2013 season when Grohmann redshirted.

Grohmann completed her final season with the Miners during the 2017 season. She posted a 2-2 record in the circle, but Grohmann’s highlight of the season was getting a pinch-hit opportunity during the last game of the season against Florida Atlantic. Head coach Tobin Echo-Hawk inserted the pitcher in third inning and Grohmann responded with a single hit to left. Grohmann would cross the dish for her first career run, while her knock surged the Miners to a three-run frame and an eventual 6-4 victory to close the season out.

Grohmann won nine games during her career that included a 5-3 mark during the 2016 campaign. She hurled 146.0 innings and tallied 39 Ks.

Grohmann is pursuing her master's degree in leadership studies.
