2013 Conference USA Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll

2013 (JUNIOR): Started 39 games at shortstop ... hit .255 on the season and posted five RBI ... finished second on the team with 77 assists ... went 2-for-3 against South Dakota (2/24) ... went 1-for2 with two RBI, a run scored and a triple in a win at Belmont (2/28).

PRIOR TO UTEP: Finished the 2012 season at Yavapai College with a .378 batting average, 28 runs and 19 RBI ... 2012 regional champions ... batted .282 and drove in 18 runs her senior season at Salpointe Catholic High School.

PERSONAL:Miraya Alexis Montiel is the daughter of Richard and Melva Montiel ... has one sister, Elissa ... born 7/8/92 (Tucson, Ariz.) ... nutrition / dietetics major.
