PRIOR TO UTEP: Won the state championship in singles play while competing with Okayamagakugeikan High School ... also advanced to the quarterfinals in doubles action ... her squad made it to the round of 16 as well ... garnered a third-place finish at the Sectional High School Championships in both 2015 and 2016 ... ranked as the second-best player in Okayama, Japan, in 2017. 

PERSONAL: Daughter of Koichi and Chiak Nozaki ... has one other brother.
