Crisostomo, Yetis Named to C-USA Volleyball All-Academic Team

DALLAS – UTEP's Hula Crisostomo and Hande Yetis were selected to the 11-member 2022 Conference USA Volleyball All-Academic Team, the league announced Friday afternoon. 

Hula Crisostomo | 4.0 GPA, Psychology 
Since transferring to UTEP her junior year, Crisostomo has been named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll twice and is an Academic Medalist. She directs the defense in every match as she leads the Miners with 399 digs (3.76/set), ranks second on the team in aces (38) and third in total assists (108). She currently ranks fifth in the league in total service aces and seventh in total digs. The red-shirt senior libero has recorded double-digit digs in 21 matches this season and achieved a season-best 30 digs against CSUN. 

Hande Yetis | 3.69, Industrial and Systems Engineering 
Last season, Yetis was named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll. She ranks second on the team with 465 assists (4.79/set), fourth in digs (131, 1.35/set) and has recorded 22 total aces. The junior setter posted 23 double-digit assists, 13 times above 20 while achieving a season-best 28 assists against Pacific and 11 digs against Louisiana Tech.
