EL PASO, Texas – The UTEP tennis team will play host to the inaugural UTEP Tennis Invitational at the El Paso Tennis Club this weekend from Friday through Sunday. Action will commence daily at 10 a.m. MT with doubles play before attention switches to singles play.
Joining UTEP in the field will be New Mexico, NM State, Tarleton State, UT-Permian Basin and Weatherford College. It will be a flighted hidden dual format.
"We are very excited to be hosting our first ever fall tournament at the home of UTEP Tennis, the El Paso Tennis and Swim Club," UTEP head coach

UTEP has enjoyed a successful fall season, particularly in doubles play where Miner tandems have compiled a combined record of 11-7.
Thassane Abrahim and
Veronika Lebisova (4-2) became the first UTEP duo to win a doubles flight in a fall tournament since 2016 while
Elena Dibattista and
Zuzanna Szczepanska (4-2) also boast a winning record.
Eve Daniels and
Carlotta Mencaglia won last time out to push their mark to .500 (3-3) for the fall.
Three different Miners are riding two-match winning streaks in singles play heading into the fall finale. They are in the form of Abrahim, freshman
