MURRAY, Kentucky – The UTEP softball team (10-14, 1-2 Conference USA) fell to Murray State (16-8) 6-0 Thursday afternoon at Racer Field.
Murray State jumped to a 6-0 lead after four innings. The Racers posted two runs in the first on a two RBI doubles from Gracie Osbron and Lindsey Carroll, then recorded three runs on three hits in the second to extend the lead 5-0. A solo home run by Osbron in the fourth lifted the Racers up 6-0. The Miners had three hits overall and never reached past second base.

UTEP will be back in action as it departs for Bowling Green, Ky. to take on Western Kentucky (18-4, 2-1 C-USA) in a three-game series that runs March 18-20.
