Box Score BOWLING GREEN, Kentucky – The UTEP softball team (10-15, 1-3 Conference USA) fell to Western Kentucky (19-4, 3-1 C-USA) 6-0 in its series opener Friday afternoon at the WKU Softball Complex.
WKU jumped to a 6-0 lead after four innings. The Hilltoppers posted two runs in the first after they walked in two runs, then Abby Newman recorded a 2RBI single to right center in the third to extend the lead 4-0. WKU plated two in the fourth that lifted the Hilltoppers up 6-0. The Miners had four hits overall and never reached past second base.
