UTEP T&F Set to Compete at C-USA Indoor Championships Saturday & Sunday

EL PASO, Texas – The UTEP track and field team will compete at the 2023 Conference USA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Birmingham, Ala., at the Birmingham CrossPlex.

The conference championships will commence on Saturday at 9 a.m. CT/8 MT with the heptathlon, while the pentathlon will start at 9:15 a.m. CT/8:15 MT. Field events will start at 1 p.m. CT/Noon MT with the men's pole vault. The track events will shoot off at 3 p.m. CT/2 MT with the men's mile trial.

Sunday's final day of competition will begin 8:30 a.m. CT/7:30 MT with the conclusion of the heptathlon. The field events will start at 10 a.m. CT/9 MT with the men's shot put, while the running events will go at noon CT/11 a.m. MT with the men's mile final.

The meet will conclude at 2:50 p.m. CT/1:50 MT with the men's 4x400-meter relay, followed by the women's 4x400.

The men's squad is looking for its first C-USA indoor title since the 2014 season, while the women's last championship came in 2019.

Brume ranks third in the 400m (55.16@)
