4/12/2023 6:47:00 PM

EL PASO, Texas – UTEP women's golf will hit the links at the PGA National Resort (par 72, 6,102 yards) in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. from Thursday-Saturday for the 2023 Conference USA Women's Golf Championship.

The Miners enter the tournament ranked fourth of the nine participating teams.

Live scoring will be available on GolfStat.

North Texas is the top-ranked team in the field with a No. 35 national ranking, while WKU is also in the top-100 at No. 90.

In addition to the Mean Green and the Lady Toppers, UTSA, UTEP, Charlotte, FIU, Middle Tennessee, Florida Atlantic and UAB will all be participating.

For the Miners, action gets underway at 11:12 a.m. ET.

Competing for UTEP will be Daniela Chipchase, Ella Hammond-Baveystock, Marta Romeu Chen, Andrea Ostos and Sophie Delfosse.

Delfosse and Romeu Chen each have a pair of top-10 finishes this season, while Ostos is coming off her best result of the season after tying for 11th at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic last week. Chipchase has three top-15 performances on the campaign and Hammond-Baveystock is participating in her fourth tournament of the season.

After compiling just one top-five finish as a team last season, the Miners have seven in nine tournaments this time around under first-year head coach Steve Sims.
