FINAL RESULTS
BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – The UTEP women's golf team finished seventh out of 12 teams at The Lady Clerico Tuesday afternoon at Hillcrest Country Club (par 72, 6,662 yards). The Miners shot 32-over par 896 (298-301-297).
Freshman
Atikan Cherdchoo was the top UTEP finisher for the first time this season, penciling in a 3-over par 219 (72-72-75) to claim 13
th on the leaderboard. She carded seven birdies over the course of the tournament.
Blanca Yrizar tied for 21
st, posting a 7-over par 223 (74-74-75) with five birdies.
Luciana Origel shared 35
th, tallying a 12-over par 228 (76-77-75) with four birdies.
Paige Wood tied for 37
th with a 13-over par 229 (76-79-74), adding eight birdies for the tournament.
Nichapas Thawinwan finished tied for 42
nd, shooting a 14-over par 230 (79-78-73). She recorded seven birdies.
The Miners improved on their opening-tournament score, posting a season-best 896, aided by Cherdchoo, Yrizar, Wood and Thawinwan each contributing campaign lows.
Southern Miss won the team title, tallying 3-under par 861 (292-290-279), while Abilene Christian (290-291-291—872) (+8) and Northern Colorado (292-297-288—877) (+13) took home second and third, respectively.
Abilene Christian's Ryann Honea claimed the individual title, posting an 11-under par 205 (67-70-68). Timbre Shehee (Northern Colorado) placed second with a 6-under par 210 (72-67-71). ACU's Julia Vollmer (74-70-67) (-5), Southern Miss's Louise Cuyvers (76-68-67) (-5) and Oklahoma State's Lucy Darr (72-70-69) (-5) each shared third place with a score of 211.

The Miners are back in action next week when they travel to Lubbock, Texas, to compete in the Red Raider Invitational hosted by Texas Tech September 23-24.
