UTEP Men’s Golf Concludes Fall Action at The Clerico Oct. 28-29

EL PASO – UTEP men's golf will play its final fall event at ORU's The Clerico at Oaks CC (par 70 | 6,950) in Tulsa, Okla., on Monday and Tuesday. The Miners return to action after being off for almost two weeks.  
 
Monday's first two rounds (36 holes) tee off at 7:45 a.m. CDT/6:45 MDT. Tuesday's final round (18 holes) will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. CDT/7 MDT. Live results will be on Scoreboard.
 
Taking the links for the Miners are Dylan Teeter (69.7 stroke average), Max Schliesing (70.7), Braden Smith (71.4), Alexandre Godin (72.8) and Patrick Foley (74.3). 
 
Teeter leads the team in stroke average, while the senior is ranked 82nd in the PGA Tour University Rankings. 
 
The Miners will compete against host ORU, Baylor, Duke, FGCU, Kansas City, Little Rock, Louisiana, Missouri, New Mexico, Northwestern, Santa Clara and UTSA.

The UTEP men's golf team tied for seventh place following a season-best 269 in round three at the 2024 Alistar MacKenzie Invitational at Meadow Club (par 71 | 6,734 yards) on Oct. 7-8.   
 
UTEP (272-276-269) shot 35-under par 817 for a seventh-place finish. The Miners used a season-best 269 to move up a spot after 54 holes of play. UTEP shot 23-under on par 4 holes, second best in the field. The Miners recorded 160 pars, 67 birdies and three eagles.
 
San Jose State (264-267-265—796) won the tournament with a 56-under par, a tournament record. Pacific (271-256-270--797) finished second, one stroke behind the Spartans. San Diego (271-266-266—803) placed third and host Cal (266-270-274—810) was fourth.
 
Dylan Teeter (70-69-64) finished as the top Miner (tied 18th overall) at 10-under par 203. The senior climbed 24 spots up the leaderboard after shooting a career-best 64 in the third round. His 203 is also a career best for 54 holes. Teeter led the team with 37 pars and recorded 14 birdies. 
 
Max Schliesing (67-69-68—204) and Braden Smith (66-68-70—204) finished tied for 23rd. Schliesing penciled in a team-best 16 birdies, 29 pars and eagled hole 1 in round 1. Smith tallied 13 birdies, 34 pars and eagled hole 15 in round three.
