UTEP Men’s Golf Finishes 14th at William H. Tucker Invitational

RESULTS: TEAM | INDIVIDUAL

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – UTEP men's golf finished 14th place at the William H. Tucker Invitational hosted by New Mexico at UNM Championship Course (par 72 | 7,546) on Saturday afternoon.    
 
The Miners (291-297-305) shot 29-over par 893. Colorado (282-284-286) won the team title at 12-under par 852 and host New Mexico (276-279-298) dropped a spot to second place, first 11-under par 853 and one stroke behind the Buffaloes. Long Beach State (285-285-291) finished in third place at 3-under par 861. 
 
Freshman Alexandre Godin was the top Miner and shot up eight spots to finish tied for 39th. Godin (73-74-75) shot 6-over par 222. Godin tallied six birdies, 33 pars and eagled hole 1 (par 5, 544 yards) during round one to open play. 
 
Dylan Teeter (75-74-74) climbed up 17 spots to tie for 44th with a 7-over par 223. Teeter led UTEP with 38 pars. 
 
Max Schliesing (72-74-77—223), Braden Smith (73-75-79—227) and Patrick Foley (73-76-82—231) rounded out the order of finish for UTEP. 
 
The Miners tallied 170 pars, the third most in the field. They added 31 birdies and one eagle.
