LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The UTEP women's golf team concluded competition at the Golf Iconic Classic Wednesday, finishing 11^th overall with a 54-hole total of 881 (289-290-302) at the New Mexico State Golf Course (par 72, 6,420 yards).
 
Freshman Blanca Yrizar led the Miners, earning a tie for 22^nd after carding a 1-over-par 217 (69-73-75), which included her season-low round of 69 and best 54-hole total of her young campaign.
 
Luciana Origel followed closely behind in a tie for 30th at 218 (+2) after posting three consistent rounds of 72-73-73. The effort marked her best 54-hole score of the season and matched her season-low round of 72.
 
Atikan Cherdchoo (74-71-77—222, +6) tied for 46^th and recorded her lowest round of the season with a 71 in the second round, while Nichapas Thawinwan (74-73-77—224, +8) finished tied for 60th, posting her top 54-hole total of the season.
 
Taline Kyoumjian rounded out the lineup, carding scores of 74-80-78—232 in her season debut.
 
Competing as individuals, Amelia Fridlund tied for 46^th after turning in a steady 222 (+6) on rounds of 73-75-74, notching her best 54-hole effort of the season, highlighted by a season-low 73. Paige Wood finished with rounds of 76-77-83—236.
 
Boise State captured the team title with a total of 851 (276-285-290), followed by Northern Arizona in second at 857 (286-284-287) and UC Irvine in third at 859 (284-279-296).
 
Individually, Boise State's Leia Chung took top honors with a 9-under 207 (70-68-69), while Northern Colorado's Timbre Shehee and Houston Christian's Natcha Makmanee followed close behind at 8-under 208 (69-67-72) and 7-under 209 (68-70-71), respectively.
 
The Miners opened with their season-best round of 289 on Monday and went on to post their lowest 54-hole team total of the season (881), positioning among the top 10 teams early before closing in 11^th place in a competitive 19-team field.
