UTEP XC Set to Compete at CUSA Championships Saturday Morning

EL PASO – UTEP Cross Country will take the course at the 2025 Conference USA Cross Country Championships in Huntsville, Ala., at John Hunt Park on Saturday, Nov. 1. 
 
The gun goes off for the women's 6k at 8 a.m. MDT/9 CT, while the men's 8k will begin at 9 a.m. MDT/10 CT. 

The meet will be streamed on ESPN+.

The Miners will compete against Delaware, FIU, Jax State, Kennesaw State, Liberty, LA Tech, Missouri State, Middle Tennessee, NM State, Sam Houston and WKU. 
 
Traveling for the women's squad are Isabella Campa, Praise Djoma, Peace Ewa, Brenda Jerop, Vallary Kiplagat and Salma Licon
 
For the men, Carmelo Corral, Matthew Guerra, Andres Gurrola, Juan Leal, Israel Quintana, Paul Rotich, Aron Tanui, and Nethaneel Taylor are competing on Saturday.  
 
THE LAST TIME
The UTEP women's team last won a conference title in 2018, while the men's previous championship was in 2016 as part of back-to-back titles (2015). Ruth Jerubet won the women's individual title in 2022, and Victor Kibiego took the men's crown in 2023. Last season, the men's team finished seventh and the women were eighth.
