#15 UTEP Rifle Opens Season with a 4668 against #6 Ole Miss

RESULTS

EL PASO, Texas – No. 15 UTEP Rifle registered an aggregate score of 4668 on Saturday afternoon at the UTEP Rifle Range. The Miners fired 2306 in smallbore and 2362 in air rifle.

No. 6 Ole Miss fired a match-high aggregate score of 4735. The Rebels shot 2352 in smallbore and 2383 in air rifle.

Sophomore Carlee Valenta led the Miners with a 1173 and was fifth overall. Sophomore Kameron Wells (1169) and freshman Kennedy Wells (1167) were sixth and seventh, respectively. Sophomore Julia Czernik (1159) was ninth overall. Juniors Xan Keel (1154) and Paige Hildebrandt (1150) rounded out the order of finish for UTEP.

Ole Miss' Audrey Gogniat led the way with an aggregate score of 1192.

UP NEXT
UTEP will take on Air Force in USAF Academy, Colo., on Saturday, Oct. 11. The Miners return to the UTEP Rifle Range on Sunday, Oct. 19, against TCU.
