EL PASO, Texas — No. 7 UTEP Rifle delivered another strong performance this season on Saturday, firing a 4713 aggregate in a tightly contested matchup with top-ranked Nebraska at the UTEP Rifle Range. The Miners outshot the Huskers in smallbore, 2337–2335, but Nebraska narrowly gained the edge with a 2382–2376 advantage in air rifle to secure the four-point victory (4717).
Kameron Wells headlined the day for UTEP, placing third overall with an 1185 aggregate behind a career-best-matching smallbore performance. She was followed closely by Carlee Valenta (1182), Kennedy Wells (1175), Julia Czernik (1170), Xan Keel (1163) and Paige Hildebrandt (1156).
The Miners saw several standout individual achievements. Czernik posted career highs in both smallbore and aggregate, while Kennedy Wells produced a complete career-best day across both disciplines.
Nebraska's Charlie Mick claimed the top overall mark of the match with an 1187 aggregate. The Huskers also swept the individual event titles, with Carley Seabrooke leading smallbore at 591 and Katlyn Sullivan topping air rifle with a 597.

UTEP will conclude its fall slate next weekend, hosting Ohio State on Saturday, Nov. 22, at the UTEP Rifle Range. First shots are scheduled for the morning in the Miners' final outing before the winter break.
