UTEP Men’s Golf Wraps Up 48th John A. Burns Intercollegiate in Hawai’i Saturday Afternoon

RESULTS

LIHU'E, Hawai'i – UTEP men's golf finished three days of competition at the 48th John A. Burns Intercollegiate hosted by Hawai'i at the Ocean Course at Hokuala (par 70 | 7,098 yards) on Saturday afternoon.
 
UTEP (299-292-282—873) finished 17th overall. No. 16 Utah (273-272-273—818) and no. 41 UNLV (280-272-266—818) finished tied for first. UNLV moved up two spots after a 266 in the third round.
 
Max Schliesing (72-73-68—213) finished as the top Miner and tied for 39th overall. Dylan Teeter (71-73-74—218), Braden Smith (81-73-71—225), Patrick Foley (81-77-69—227) and Alexandre Godin (75-73-82—230) rounded out the order of finish for UTEP. Massimo De Giorgi (76-75-78—229) competed as an individual in his first collegiate tournament. 
 
No. 142 Utah's Gabriel Palacios (68-66-65—199) and no. 98 UNLV's Zach Little (71-63-65—199) tied for the individual championship. Little tied a course record in the second round with a 63.

UTEP will head to Scottsdale, Ariz., to compete at the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate hosted by the University of Michigan on March 8-9 at Desert Mountain – Outlaw Golf Course.
