TRACK SCOREBOARD FINAL RESULTS

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – UTEP track and field wrapped up the final day of competition as Alla Parnov set a new school record in the indoor pole vault, and multiple Miners established new personal bests at the 2025 Don Kirby Elite Invitational hosted by New Mexico in the Albuquerque Convention Center on Saturday afternoon.

Parnov posted a personal best and new school record 4.21-meter (13-9.75) leap in the women's pole vault. She broke her own school standard which was 4.15 (13-7.25) meters, at last year's New Mexico Team Open. Parnov was first in Conference USA heading into the weekend.

"It was an excellent day two of Don Kirby Invitational for us," UTEP Director of Track & Field Mika Laaksonen said. "Alla Parnov set a new school record in women's pole vault. Niesha Burgher's new personal best in 60 moves her closer to another school record. Milers Kenneth Talavera, Juan Leal, and Ruth Jerubet had a great day. Princess Uche put on a tremendous performance, setting a new personal best in the 400, which is better than the current CUSA leader. Next week will be a short week for some of our better athletes that we plan to take to Arkansas Qualifier on Friday to give them one more shot at that NCAA Indoor Championships qualifying mark."

Princess Uche clocked in a personal-best 53.76 in the women's 400-meter dash. Her new time tops the CUSA leader Jax State's Chidinma Margaret Agu (53.90). Uche's previous indoor best in the 400 was a 54.43.

Niesha Burgher clocked in a personal-best 7.22 in the women's 60-meter dash final, placing third overall. Burgher was the CUSA leader coming into the weekend.

Kenneth Talavera won the men's mile with a time of 4:07.64 out of 37 runners.

Juan Leal clocked in a personal-best 4:14.43 in the men's mile, placing seventh overall. His previous best was 4:16.24.

Ruth Jerubet came in second of 48 competitors in the women's mile with a season-best 4:54.50.

Amir Williams clocked in a personal-best 6.96 in the men's 60-meter dash. He finished 11th out of 65 sprinters.
