UTEP Track & Field Travels to Austin to Compete at the 97th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays March 27-29

EL PASO – The UTEP track and field team is set to compete at the 97th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin starting Thursday through Saturday.

Competing for the women's squad are Loubna Benhadja (400H, 4x400), Chinique Brown (4x100, 4x400), Samahdi Foster (4x400), Samoya Neil (long jump), Esther Osisike (discus), Alla Parnov (pole vault), Marissa Simpson (100H, 4x100), Addison Stricklin (100, 4x100, 4x400), Rejoice Sule (100, 200, 4x100) and Princess Uche (4x100, 4x400). 
 
Simpson ranks no. 1 in the nation in the women's 100-meter hurdles with a personal-best 12.88 at the Willie Williams last week. Simpson also ranks second in the 200 in CUSA. Also, in CUSA, Sule ranks first in the 200 and second in the 100. Benhadja ranks first in CUSA in the 400-meter hurdles, and the women's 4x100-meter relay team is first in the conference and fifth nationally with its 44.02 (second best time in school history) at the Willie Williams. Parnov ranks first in CUSA in the pole vault. 
 
Going for the men are Jakub Belik (high jump), Stephen Carreto (400H, 4x400), Joseph Gomez Whitten (100, 4x100), Joshua Hill (4x400), Aleks Hristov (discus), Mathew Polk (4x100), Aron Tanui (800, 4x400), Amir Williams (110H, 4x100) and Jordani Woodley (110H, 4x100).
 
In CUSA, Belik is no. 1 in the high jump, Woodley is second in the 110-meter hurdles, Hristov is third in the discus, and Tanui is third in the 800-meter run.
