TEMPE, Ariz. – UTEP Beach Volleyball (11-15, 2-2 Conference USA) closed out its regular season with a split on Saturday at Sun Devil Beach, earning a 4-1 victory over Benedictine Mesa before falling 5-0 to No. 12-ranked Arizona State. 

Dual 1: UTEP 4, BENU 1 

In the opening dual against Benedictine Mesa, the Miners struck first with a dominant straight-set win on court three. The Redhawks responded by claiming a three-set battle on court four to even the score at 1-1. From there, UTEP took control, winning the remaining three matches—including the clincher on court one—to seal the 4-1 team win. The Miners' top three pairs all swept their matches in straight sets.

Dual 2: #12 ASU 5, UTEP 0 

Against the nationally ranked Sand Devils, the Miners battled hard but ultimately dropped all five matches. Court two featured the most tightly contested action, with UTEP capturing the opening set before Arizona State rallied to take sets two and three for the win.

With the regular season now complete, UTEP turns its attention to the postseason. The Miners will head to Youngsville, Louisiana for the Conference USA Championship, held April 24–26 at Sugar Beach.
