UTEP Announces 2025 Cross Country Schedule, Francesca Green Era Opens Aug. 30 in Las Cruces

EL PASO, Texas – New UTEP Cross Country and Track & Field Head Coach Francesca Green announced the 2025 cross country schedule on Wednesday. The Miners will commence the new campaign at the 39^th Lori Fitzgerald Open in Las Cruces, N.M., on Saturday, Aug. 30.

"We're excited to unveil our 2025 cross country schedule, which provides our student-athletes with opportunities to compete against some of the best in the region and the country," Green said. "Each meet is intentionally selected to challenge our team and prepare us for the championship portion of the season. From opening up close to home in Las Cruces to lining up against elite fields in College Station and Salt Lake City, we're building momentum every step of the way. This schedule reflects our commitment to competing at a high level, developing our athletes, and proudly representing UTEP and the city of El Paso on a national stage."

Following its meet up the road, UTEP will take I-25 to Albuquerque to compete at New Mexico's Lobo Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 13.

Green will return to her old stomping grounds when the Miners run at the Dave Murray Cross Country Invitational hosted by Arizona in Tucson on Saturday, Sept. 27.

The regular season will conclude in College Station, Texas, at Texas A&M's Arturo Barrios Invitational on Friday, Oct. 17.

The 2025 Conference USA Cross Championships will be held in Huntsville, Ala., on Saturday, Nov. 1.

The 2025 NCAA Mountain Regional Championships will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Friday, Nov. 14, while the 2025 NCAA Cross Country Championships are in Columbia, Mo., at Gans Creek Cross Country Course on Saturday, Nov. 22, to wrap up the season.
