UTEP XC Heads Up I-25 to Compete at UNM’s Lobo Invitational Saturday

EL PASO – UTEP Cross Country will compete in its second meet of the season when the Miners take the track at New Mexico's Lobo Invitational on Saturday morning at UNM North Course. 
 
The women's 5k will start at 7:30 a.m. MT, while the men's 5k will begin at 7:55 a.m. MT.

Traveling for the women's squad are Isabella Campa, Andrea Castillo, Bobbi Guillen, Brenda Jerop, Vallary Kiplagat and Salma Licon
 
For the men, Evan Avitia, Carmelo Corral, Matthew Guerra, Andrés Guerra, Juan Leal, Luis Pastor, Israel Quintana, Paul Rotich, Aron Tanui and Nethaneel Taylor are competing Saturday. 
 
Guerra and Taylor are making their UTEP debuts. Taylor, a redshirt senior transfer from Southern Utah, was recently added to the roster. Guerra is an El Paso native from Eastwood High School, who transferred from UT Arlington prior to the season.

Oct. 17 (Fri) – Arturo Barrios Invitational (College Station, Texas)
Nov. 1 (Sat) – Conference USA XC Championships (Huntsville, Ala.)
Nov. 14 (Fri) – NCAA Mountain Regional Championships (Salt Lake City, Utah)
Nov. 22 (Sat) – NCAA XC Championships (Columbia, Mo.)
